A car bomb exploded near foreign embassies in Kabul, Afghanistan, killing and wounding a number of people.


Wall Street Journal reporter Jessica Donati said a vehicle packed with explosives detonated close to foreign embassies in Kabul, Afghanistan. The explosion has rocked the city, killing and wounding an unconfirmed number of people. Hundreds are wounded and the number of casualties was expected to rise, with hospitals flooded with people, Afghan health officials said.

The blast wave was so strong it blew out the re-enforced windows of the nearby Reuters and Wall Street Journal bureaus.
